Terms of Sale

Too Good To Throw Recycling Ltd is a private limited company registered in England & Wales, trading as Second-hand Furniture Kent. Company No. 14973258. Our viewing and collection address is The Tea Room, Charton Vale, Eglantine Ln, Dartford DA4 0LD (by appointment).

Every piece we sell is one-of-a-kind, vintage or antique. Items are sold as seen and are not new. They will show age-appropriate wear — marks, scratches, patina, minor repairs, historic woodworm treatment, faded finishes, fabric wear — which forms part of their character.

We describe each piece honestly and photograph it in natural light. You are encouraged to view items in person in Dartford by appointment, or to request additional photos before purchase, as this is your opportunity to inspect the item.

Vintage furniture is sold for decorative and domestic use. We do not warrant that items meet modern manufacturing standards. Upholstered items may pre-date current fire safety regulations; please ask before purchase if this matters to you. Electrical items (e.g. lamps) should be PAT-tested by a qualified electrician before use unless we expressly state they have been tested.

Prices are in GBP. The product price is shown before checkout and payment is due in full before collection or delivery. We do not charge membership fees, subscriptions, auction premiums or hidden checkout fees. Payment is taken by PayPal checkout, which may also offer card payment options, or by bank transfer by arrangement before collection or delivery.

Items may be collected by appointment from The Tea Room, Charton Vale, Eglantine Ln, Dartford DA4 0LD. We offer free delivery in our Kent delivery area, covering CT, ME, TN, DA and BR postcodes. Delivery outside that area is £100 flat per item for England-wide delivery. Risk in the goods passes to you on collection or delivery.

Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or, where applicable, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. See our Returns policy for further detail.

Our liability to you is limited to the price paid for the item, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
