Terms of Sale
Last updated: 17 May 2026
These terms apply to every purchase made from TGTT Furniture Kent Ltd ("we", "us", "our") through this website or directly from Dartford by appointment. Please read them carefully before buying.
1. About us
TGTT Furniture Kent Ltd is a private limited company registered in England & Wales, trading as Second Hand Furniture Kent. Company number and registered office available on request and shown in our footer once formally registered.
2. Items are sold as seen
Every piece we sell is one-of-a-kind, vintage or antique. Items are sold as seen and are not new. They will show age-appropriate wear — marks, scratches, patina, minor repairs, historic woodworm treatment, faded finishes, fabric wear — which forms part of their character.
We describe each piece honestly and photograph it in natural light. You are encouraged to view items in person in Dartford by appointment, or to request additional photos before purchase, as this is your opportunity to inspect the item.
3. Suitability and safety
Vintage furniture is sold for decorative and domestic use. We do not warrant that items meet modern manufacturing standards. Upholstered items may pre-date current fire safety regulations; please ask before purchase if this matters to you. Electrical items (e.g. lamps) should be PAT-tested by a qualified electrician before use unless we expressly state they have been tested.
4. Price and payment
Prices are in GBP and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is due in full before collection or delivery. We accept bank transfer and major card payments.
5. Collection and delivery
Items may be collected by appointment from Charton Vale, Eglantine Ln, Dartford DA4 0LD. We offer free delivery anywhere within Kent, arranged at the time of purchase. Delivery outside Kent may be available by separate arrangement and quote. Risk in the goods passes to you on collection or delivery.
6. Title
Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or, where applicable, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. See our Returns policy for further detail.
8. Liability
Our liability to you is limited to the price paid for the item, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
