Returns Policy

We want you to love your piece. Because every item is vintage, one-of-a-kind, and sold as seen, please read this carefully before purchase.

In-person purchases

When you collect or buy a piece in person in Dartford by appointment, you have had the opportunity to inspect it. We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges on items bought in person, except where the item is found to be faulty in a way that was not visible or disclosed at the time of sale.

Online & distance purchases

For items purchased online or by phone without an in-person viewing, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the item under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

To exercise this right, email us at contact@secondhandfurniturekent.co.uk within 14 days. You then have a further 14 days to return the item.

Items must be returned in the same condition they were received. Return shipping/transport is at your cost and risk. We strongly recommend using an insured furniture courier — we cannot refund items that arrive back damaged.

Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the item back, to the original payment method.

Faulty items

If an item is faulty in a way not disclosed at the time of sale, please contact us within 30 days. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. Age-appropriate wear and any condition we disclosed before sale do not count as a fault.

Bespoke or made-to-order

Pieces customised to your specific request (e.g. reupholstered in a fabric you chose) are non-returnable except in the case of a fault.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
